#11 Haunted House

Project Design Skills:
In this project I was in charge of helping with the maze room/ jack and the box room (where i ended up becoming the Jack and the Box) I also helped come up with the idea of the bowling in the bathroom.Me and Tiffany put up the sheets and me and Sophie created the box, I also tried to help everyone else out and assist them with tasks like hanging things from the celing etc.

Identifying and Dealing with barriers:
Communication was a huge barrier. I felt like alot of people were being thrown into non leadership roles because others were becoming overpowering with their ideas (not intentionaly) We all had to Communicate and this was a huge barrier at first but as soon as we got into the "team" spirit we all got it. I tried to help out a few people who where not doing anything because i knew it wasnt there fault they were "slacking".

Interpersonal Skills:
I tried to listen to what everyone had to say even if i didn't think it was a good idea. Everyone had something worth listening to and I really felt good about how most people listened to each other to do things. This would have never worked if we didn't communicate right. and i really think that was the main lesson of the haunted house. Work with each other and yourself to get it done.

Understanding & Working with Diversity:
I thought that it was interesting how the Clicks were dissolved and you had they typical stereo types mingling and working together to complete there rooms. Even the boys and girls were totally mixed up, and there were almost no small groups working only with each other.  I really just listened to what everyone said to help understand the diversity when you have different people working on the same task like that they all have different personalities and therefore have really different ideas.

Leadership Skills:
Dont care what others think , be a leader- I was willing to dress up like a jack in the box and scare the crap out of all my peers, some kids i have never seen before, and even my teachers (including my ever so terrified media Teacher Mr Magugen and my new Janitor Friend)

get everyone involved- I tried to help people who were not doing anything because i could see how they could be stuck not knowing what to do.

be a leader but not bossy- I tried to tell people what to do without being annoying and completely ignoring there opinion because i know I am equal to them

Personal Management Skills:
i think i managed myself good, I knew that the maze room wasn't going to work unless we brought in more sheets so I took it upon myself to bring in some of my own, i did some other things like this too. I think i almost worked the hardest i could, I may have got distracted socializing with my peers at times but i think that added to the fun of the fun house. It wouldn't have been as fun/ effective if non of us talked and we just went about our own tasks . If i got to off track I told my self to shut up and do something productive because our area wasn't going to get finished otherwise!

Self-Assessment Skills:
I think I did very good to be honest I did put alot of effort into the house and so did most other people I think that its hard to give myself a mark because I know I couldn't have done it without the help of my peers. But i think i would give myself 16, 17, or 18.
